A to Z Challenge: C is for Captain America: Civil War
I have never liked Captain America. I think he is too righteous, and like Iron Man said, I can’t trust a person without a dark side. But Captain America: The Winter Soldier is a brilliant movie. It is definitely in my top 5 MCU Movies. Back in 2008, the MCU began with Iron Man and since then, it has grown exponentially. Each movie is now a tiny piece of the puzzle in the grander scheme of things.
I don’t get why the latest MCU movie is called Captain America: Civil War. This movie has nearly every major Marvel movie superhero minus Thor and Hulk. So, seriously, why?
The franchise is so massive right now and I sincerely believe that they should do away with Superhero lead movies. Obviously movies like Ant-Man and Doctor Strange would still have to be called Ant-Man and Doctor Strange, because they aren’t fully established in the MCU yet.
But with a movie such as Civil War, where nearly every superhero is present and deals with an issue that can affect every other superhero as well, I wish they’d do away with the Captain America tag, and leave it as Civil War. Given that it is a major event in the Comics, Civil War is more appropriate than Captain America: Civil War.
But who am I to complain? I’d watch any MCU movie even if it is titled, “Captain America Does His Laundry.“
